Caprese salad is a summer favorite! We have added zucchini to this classic recipe to add flavor and some zing to your next summer meal.
Small Change, Big Flavor Impact!
Caprese salad is a classic Italian dish made with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil. We kept that traditional base and simply added tender slices of grilled zucchini. This small change makes a big flavor impact!
The grilled zucchini pairs perfectly with slices of juicy tomatoes, delicate mozzarella, and sweet basil. Olive oil, balsamic, and a pinch of black pepper and kosher salt bring all the flavors together. We opted for a balsamic glaze, but balsamic vinaigrette is an excellent choice too.
